As a groom, there are a number of tasks that await only you and for which you have full responsibility. Make sure that these are fulfilled on time so that you and your future spouse can fully enjoy this wedding adventure.
Transport
The choice of transportation to the wedding venue and/or banquet hall is really a job for the man. First ask yourself the question: are you going to the location separately or together? If you're going separately, you will need to arrange for two means of transportation. Make sure that if you choose a car, there is enough space for the large size of the wedding dress. To score some extra points with your future spouse, you can arrange a matching floral arrangement for the hood or plan a surprise during the drive. Also decide whether you want to drive the rented vehicle yourself or prefer to enjoy the ride with your loved one while a driver takes you. This vehicle will not be present all day, so also keep in mind that you will need transportation back home or possibly to the hotel after the party.
Wedding suit
Start looking for your wedding suit in time, it is best to do this during December-January-February, when the selection is the widest. It is advisable to choose a reputable store with a lot of experience and choices, for both the suit and accessories (shoes, shirts, bow ties, ties, waistcoats, socks, ...). You could ask your fiancée for a guideline so that you can coordinate your look with hers. That way, not only your suit matches, but also your accompanying accessories. Bring someone with you to your appointment whom you find important and who you think can best assist you in making this important choice.
Care
On your wedding day, you want to be no one else but yourself; so definitely don't experiment with your hairstyle just before the wedding. Head to the barber a week before the big day. Another tip is not to shave the day before the wedding, it's best to do this on the day itself for a nice, smooth skin. Or opt for a hipster beard and make an appointment with your favorite barber in time.
Rings
The groom is also responsible for the rings. You take them with you on the day itself; so make sure you absolutely do not forget them! Lay them out the evening before with the other important documents that must definitely come along. Want to play it safe? Then set a reminder in your cell phone so that an alarm goes off in time and you don't have to worry about it anymore. Or you can always ask your witness to do this.
Speech
At the start of the dinner or party, it's nice to take a moment to thank all the guests. During this, you can mention the most important people separately, such as your parents, witness, or best friends. This is the ideal moment to tell a fun anecdote about you as a couple; your first meeting, a specific moment that stuck with you. Remember, short and sweet works best! Bring a cheat sheet so you're sure not to forget to say anything. In this speech, you also take a moment to put your wife in the spotlight, and tell her how important she is to you. No stress, it's all about the love today! Enjoy it. Furthermore, there are always a few tasks that the groom can take on, but if you've already done the above you're well on your way! Your last task now is to make this day as beautiful as possible and to cherish every moment.
