To play
Limit the number of tracks you pass on to your DJ to a minimum. A good DJ can read his audience and knows roughly what kind of music is expected on this day. Of course, there are some tracks that probably have a special meaning for you and that must absolutely be played on this day.
Not to play
You should definitely tell your DJ what you absolutely do not like to hear. For example, if you absolutely do not like Dutch schlagers, it goes without saying that you would prefer not to hear them on your big evening. It is important that you can enjoy the party all evening, and thus the music.
Think of the guests
When choosing music, it's best to keep in mind that your guests are from all generations. This includes traditional party numbers that are played at weddings and the older classics. This way, grandma and grandpa can also become a bit nostalgic. If there are children present, it's also nice to play a song for them occasionally.
Requests
Discuss with your DJ whether requests can be made, as guests sometimes do this. You can also ask for a request song in advance with the invitation, but keep in mind that this can be confusing for the DJ. If necessary, only ask family and your best friends if there is a particular song they would like to hear and pass this on to the DJ.
Enjoy!
Place this responsibility in the hands of a professional DJ you feel good about. This way you can only enjoy this beautiful evening even more.
